Privacy notice

Who operates this test

Collection Finder operates this limited service. Privacy enquiries and data-rights requests can be sent to privacy@collectionfinder.uk. This mailbox must be active before external testing begins.

Information we use

We store your email address, password hash, account role, session records, item and proof photographs, collection notes, precise pin coordinates, claim activity, notifications and pseudonymised security rate-limit identifiers.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide accounts, show collection jobs, coordinate claims, confirm collections, prevent abuse and secure the service. During this test our basis is normally performance of the service you request and our legitimate interests in operating and securing it.

Who can see it

Collectors can see photographs, notes and precise pins for available jobs. Listing customers see their own listings and notifications. Hosting providers process stored data on our behalf. Do not include faces, house numbers, registrations or unrelated personal information.

Retention and deletion

Test data is retained only while needed to operate and evaluate the test, handle safety issues and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by email. Account and listing deletion are supported; backup copies may persist for a limited backup cycle.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

External services

The interface loads map tiles, fonts and demonstration images from third-party providers. Your browser may send them technical information such as your IP address. We do not sell personal information.

Security and changes

We use HTTPS, access controls, hashed passwords, restricted database access and abuse controls. No online service is risk-free. We will update this notice when the test changes.
